Yesterday we bore witness to and lamented the wrongdoings committed against the Amazon, which shares in the crucifixion of Jesus. By doing this, we model the holy example of the women of Jerusalem, who bore witness to the injustice committed against Jesus.
Today we look at the suffering of the Amazon and ask ourselves how we can convert our hearts and change our ways. In this, we follow the instruction Jesus gave those holy women (Luke 23: 27 – 31).
How might we convert our hearts and change our ways? Jot down two or three ideas to better care for the Amazon that you could implement today. As a starting place, reference this article from the Rainforest Alliance: “10 Easy Ways Kids Can Help Save Rainforests.”
