Based on yesterday’s article, you may be wondering if there are ways we can reduce carbon pollution. In fact, our government offered such a way in 2014: the Clean Power Plan would have reduced carbon pollution from power plants across the country and moved us to more renewable energy sources.
Unfortunately, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is expected to repeal this plan, and they are now moving very quickly to create a new plan that will reduce less carbon pollution than the 2014 plan.
We invite you to write to the EPA and tell them that people of faith won't accept government inaction on climate change. Please stand with communities across the United States and the world and take action today by telling the EPA that you expect any replacement plan not just to match the reduction goals of the last plan, but to exceed them.
